Robbert-Jan Henri Nuis was born in Poortugaal, a suburb of Rotterdam The Netherlands. He has lived in different countries experiencing many different cultures. When he was drafted by the Dutch army and served voluntarily in former Yugoslavia he changed dramatically.

The experience with The United Nations changed his view of the world drastically and he became even more interested in Human Behavior.

He started a new phase in his life with interests in: Yoga, Meditation, Spirituality, Hypnosis, NLP, Social Work, Cooking, Traveling, Self-Help meetings and Seminars, Communication, Energy work, Massage and Outdoor activities.

RJ Nuis is the founder of Expatriate Counseling, a franchise counseling practice, operating in The Netherlands, San Francisco bay area and Cote d'Azur France

 RJ is currently in Halifax working on his book “How I Became Me Again”
